Energy sector expert with 40 years of experience. A graduate of AGH University of Science and Technology in Cracow, where he obtained the degree of Master of Science in Engineering at the Faculty of Mining and Metallurgical Machinery and a PhD at the Faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental Protection.

He began his career at the Oil and Gas Institute as a research and engineering employee. He gained managerial experience in the private sector, operating in the field of maintenance services for the extraction industry. During his work at Polish Oil Mining and Gas Extraction Company (PGNiG), he held many key management positions, including Director of the Gas Sales and Marketing Division. He was associated with ORLEN from 2005 to 2017 as President of the Management Board of ORLEN Upstream Sp. z o.o.

A long-standing member of Supervisory Boards of companies, including those with the participation of the State Treasury, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of the Energy and Geoscience Institute (EGI) at the University of Utah. A member of many industry associations in Poland and abroad, including the World Petroleum Congress. President of the Chamber of the Natural Gas Industry (IGG). During his professional career, he managed large teams in the oil and gas industry across the full spectrum of this business, holding management positions and executing many significant investment, acquisition and restructuring projects. Over the past eight years, he has also managed investment projects involving low-carbon power generation and renewable energy in the private sector. From May 2024, Member of the Management Board of ORLEN S.A. responsible for the exploration and production (Upstream) segment.
