Platforms

Platforms

PETROBALTIC

It is a modern production platform serving as an oil and gas production centre for the B8 deposit. The platform carries out key processes related to the production and preparation of hydrocarbons for export to a tanker, including separation of reservoir fluids, gas compression and export, and water injection into the reservoir. The platform is equipped with a power system and facilities to safely and efficiently handle ongoing operations. Thanks to the applied technological solutions, Petrobaltic ensures stable production from the B8 deposit.

Platforms

BALTIC BETA

It serves as a mining centre at the B3 deposit. Well outlets and transmission lines from other installations are located on the platform. It concentrates key technological systems, including reservoir fluid separation installations, gas compression and transmission systems, seawater treatment and injection systems, as well as treatment of produced water extracted together with crude oil and its reinjection into the reservoir. Baltic Beta also provides power supply for its own systems and the unmanned PG-1 facility.

Platforms

PETRO GIANT

It is the largest unit owned by ORLEN Petrobaltic. It is a drilling platform capable of drilling to a depth of 7,620 m. It can operate in bodies of water up to 107 m deep. Its legs are 160 m long, and the platform’s displacement is 24,285 tons. The unit is 84 metres long and 90 metres wide, and the airgap, i.e. distance from the sea surface to the bottom of the pontoon, is 21.2 m.

Platforms

PETRO MONITOR

It is a self-elevating (jack-up) cantilever-type platform equipped with a drilling rig that extends beyond the outline of the pontoon. It can operate in waters up to 106 m deep and drill to depths of up to 9,000 m. The platform weighs 13,137 tonnes, and the pontoon area is 5,600 sq. m. The capacity of the drilling rig is 692 t. Currently, the PETRO MONITOR platform is supporting operations at the B8 deposit.

Platforms

PG1

It is an unmanned, fixed extraction installation. The PG-1’s operation is controlled remotely, via wireless links, from the deck of the Baltic Beta platform, located 4 kilometres away. Crude oil produced on the PG-1 platform is transported via a flexible pipeline to the Baltic Beta platform.
